Hello folks, I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend wherever you are.
I have been thinking about Substack a lot recently as I have had many messages asking when there will be a new post. If I am being honest, I have been lacking motivation and a reason to write on here. I have a full-time job, a life of my own and I already struggle to find hours in the day to have time for myself. Twitter is like a journal for me and has always been effortless to post my thoughts on there. After speaking to a few friends/followers I talk to on Twitter a lot, I have decided to start charging for Substack.
This isn’t a typical paid-for Substack as all net proceeds (I believe Substack charges 10% and the payment processor ~3%) will be donated to charity on a quarterly basis. Both revenues and the donations will be shown each quarter in a tweet or an email to subscribers.
Twitter will continue as normal and Substack will become a platform for more in-depth market analysis. I plan to give a fresh equity idea on a monthly basis, weekly market commentary and more correspondence with myself. From time to time I shall post free content on here for all subscribers to read. This will more likely be on a quarterly basis, talking about the past quarter and what I expect in the next. If I am not as busy I will try to do more…
I came to this decision due to demanding Twitter messages. So many people are happy to take and to continue to take but they never give back to those who need it. With this Substack I hope to help numerous parties:
By educating people to become better investors, help them with their psychology, understand markets better, how to efficiently utilise derivatives, how to hedge, how to stress test their ports, an insight into what a professional is looking at etc.
Donate all net proceeds to both people and animals in need.
